Through Project Shakti, we financially empower and provide livelihood opportunities for women in rural India.
Under this programme, women micro-entrepreneurs called Shakti Ammas are given training by our rural sales promoters on the basic tenets of distribution, acquainted with our brands, and provided with the necessary coaching and support to manage their business.
We are also working towards creating a more significant social impact by conducting sessions on nutrition awareness, waste recycling, women empowerment and more to enable Shakti Ammas to become agents of positive change in their villages.
So far, we have over 1.6 lakh Shakti Ammas across 18 States in India.

One of our major offerings for retailers has been Shikhar our e-B2B solution through which we enable retailers to place orders online at their convenience, track stock and shipments, get fast and reliable service and improve assortment and sales. We have scaled up Shikhar by onboarding over 8 lakh stores onto the digital ordering platform.
We protected the livelihoods of all our people during the COVID-19 pandemic and activated insurance cover for over 50,000 outer core associates and third-party workforce. In addition, we extended medical assistance via the HUL Medical and Occupational health team, and on-ground COVID-19 warriors were inducted across the country.
